Bargaining Update (Go here for more detailed updates, look for SEIU Central Table)
- All proposals will be passed by management today. We will receive an email with a summary of what was passed by end of week.
- Last day to pass ODFW specific language is Friday, April 4th. Next meeting with management is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1.
- ODFW specific articles-We asked to increase amounts for returning and new employees, a boot allowance, and take away the classification list so all employees who require uniforms receive same amount.
- CDL- asking for positions salary range 17 and below will not be required to hold CDL for position.
- Required to use personal vehicle for work-The bargaining team is asking for language that employee shall not be required to use personal vehicle to conduct work.
LMC Update
- LMC met March 5.
- Discussed the employee engagement survey. The results are almost ready to share. Talked about improvements for the next survey. Time of year to send.
- There is a vacancy on the committee. Please contact Kelly if you are interested in being part of the committee. Go here to learn more about the LMC.
- Budget- employees should have heard by now if their position is part of the proposed budge cut. There are 20-30 positions affected. HR is reaching out to affected employees. Layoff contract language is located here.
Permanent to Temporary positions
- Still collecting information on positions that were always permanent seasonal and now being offered as temporary. This mean no benefits (no health care, vacation, personal business day, less sick leave).
Additional discussion
- Please provide photos of dirty uniform/work wear/boots to odfwunionsteward@gmail.com. The bargaining team would like to use them for presentation to management when discussing the uniform contract language.
- Send us stories about being required to use personal vehicle while in a seasonal position.
